Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Neocron website, game servers, forums, Discord server, or any related services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.
Community Project
Neocron is operated by a team of volunteers and community members.
The Services are provided on a best-effort basis. The Neocron Team receives no guarantee of compensation for its work and makes no guarantee regarding the availability, stability, or longevity of the Services.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you may not make demands upon the Neocron Team regarding the continued operation of the Services.
Account Registration
To access certain features of the Services, you may be required to register an account or authenticate through Discord.
You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep that information reasonably up to date.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity occurring under your account.
The Neocron Team is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to secure your account credentials.
Discord Authentication
Certain portions of the Services may require authentication through Discord.
Your use of Discord authentication is subject to Discord’s own terms, policies, and requirements. If Discord access is revoked or unavailable, portions of the Services may become inaccessible.
The Neocron Team is not responsible for outages, restrictions, or actions taken by Discord.
Rules of Conduct
While using the Services, you agree that you will not:

Harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or otherwise interfere with another user’s enjoyment of the Services.

Use unlawful, abusive, hateful, discriminatory, obscene, or excessively offensive language or content.

Impersonate members of the Neocron Team, moderators, administrators, or other users.

Advertise, solicit, spam, or promote products, services, schemes, or unrelated content without authorization.

Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law.

Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, network, database, or service.

Reverse engineer, modify, circumvent, or tamper with any portion of the Services except where expressly authorized.

Distribute malware, malicious code, exploits, cheats, automation tools, bots, or other software intended to gain an unfair advantage.

Exploit bugs, glitches, or unintended game mechanics for personal gain.

Publish or distribute another user’s personal information without their consent.

Upload, distribute, or transmit content that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of others.

Interfere with the operation, stability, security, or availability of the Services.

Use the Services for any illegal or fraudulent purpose.
Exploits and Security Issues
If you discover a bug, exploit, vulnerability, or security issue, you agree not to abuse it for personal gain.

The Neocron Team reserves the right to investigate and take action against accounts involved in the abuse of exploits or vulnerabilities.
Account Suspension and Termination
The Neocron Team reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate any account, character, or access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason or no reason.
Violations of these Terms may result in:
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent account termination
- Character deletion
- Removal of in-game assets
- Restriction of access to specific Services
Decisions regarding account enforcement are final.
Virtual Property
Accounts, characters, virtual items, in-game currency, achievements, statistics, and all other game-related content are part of the Services.
Users receive a limited license to access and use such content through the Services.
Users do not own any virtual property, account content, or game data.
The Neocron Team reserves the right to modify, remove, reset, rebalance, or delete any game content at any time.
Virtual items and accounts have no real-world monetary value and may not be redeemed for money, goods, or services.
Rollbacks, Downtime, and Service Changes
The Neocron Team does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Services.
Maintenance, outages, hardware failures, software defects, exploits, balancing changes, rollbacks, wipes, resets, and other service interruptions may occur at any time.
The Neocron Team shall not be responsible for loss of progress, character data, virtual property, or other game-related content resulting from such events.
No compensation is owed for downtime, rollbacks, resets, maintenance, or service interruptions.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE NEOCRON TEAM DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE NEOCRON TEAM, ITS CONTRIBUTORS, VOLUNTEERS, OPERATORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE USE OF THE SERVICES.
YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Changes to These Terms
The Neocron Team may modify these Terms at any time.
Updated Terms become effective upon publication on the website.
Your continued use of the Services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
