Patch #0.1.16: Item Variations, Max FPS Settings and more
Attention, Citizens.
A major content and performance update is locked and loaded for deployment. This patch introduces several highly anticipated item alternatives to diversify your character builds, and delivers crucial engine-level fixes for modern high-refresh-rate setups.
Here is the full breakdown of what is heading to the live Server:
Item Overhaul
We have expanded the item database with new specialized variations and significantly improved item data clarity.
Expanded Descriptions: We have added missing lore and technical descriptions to a vast number of items. Furthermore, the technical limit on description length has been fixed, allowing for detailed item readouts.
New Item Variations:
-
Strength Booster: Recalibrated to serve as an Melee Combat (M-C) variation of the Hardened Backbone.
-
Research CPU: Added to the network as a Research (RES) alternative to the Construction CPU.
-
Soldier CPU: Deployed as a Heavy Combat (H-C) counterpart to the Berserk Chip.
-
Heat Resistant Bone Enforcements: A new Fire Resistance variation of the Antigamma Bone Enforcements.
-
Anti-corrosive Bone Enforcements: A new Poison Resistance variation of the Antigamma Bone Enforcements.
Source & Engine-Level Optimizations
-
Visual Fix: Fixed the broken muzzle flash positioning and effects on all Plasma Cannons.
-
High-FPS Mouselook Stutter Fixed: For runners playing on modern high-refresh-rate monitors, the frustrating mouse-look stuttering that occurred at high frame rates has been completely eradicated. Looking around now feels silky smooth.
-
Configurable Frame Rate Cap: We have implemented a native frame rate limiter. You can now adjust your performance targets directly via a new Max FPS Slider located in Options > Rendering.
-
RPOS Stabilization: The underlying code for the RPOS user interface has received a massive stabilization pass. These structural changes are entirely behind the scenes.
-
Library DLL Dependency Hotfix: We identified and updated several shared patch system libraries that were running outdated versions. This anomaly was causing immediate client crashes on a very select few environments—including one of our main developer rigs (“WTF lol”).
-
Localization Cleanup: All legacy French language files have been permanently removed from the client. The interface will now strictly default to English.
