Kirk has announced on the Neocron forums that ReaKKtor has filed a second Insolvency.

• What does this mean?
  KK will continue to operate, and Neocron will continue to exist and be free.
• But what about Kirk answering our questions?

• I’m sorry, tl;dr, what is the summary of all that?
  Kirk has been paying for the Neocron servers to run out of his pocket. Not KK’s pocket, Kirks pocket. He loves this game so much and has so much hope for it that he has put his personal financials up to keep us playing. This means a lot. Neocron 3 is going to happen, it will just take time. Neocron is not going anywhere for awhile, but if it does, Kirk has said he will open source it.

Neocron.org and the rest of the Neocron fan sites stand behind ReaKKtor 100% and offer any help and assistance we can.

Kirk has mentioned finding a way to accept donations towards server costs etc. As soon as he finds a solution to this we will post a link here to donate.
Thank you Kirk and ReaKKtor for all you have done, and keeping Neocron up and going for us! We do truly appreciate it!

70+ Days later, nothing back from Kirk. Two months is more than enough time to gather some answers but not in KK’s world… Ah well.

A discussion forum is up…yay? Registration links on the right hand side of the site, all fixed and working.

We are currently upgrading our IRC server hardware and bandwidth to keep the lag and disconnects down.

Right now the IRC server is back online at irc.neocron.org

I’m there!…nobody else is.

Other projects..

We are working on a few new things around here. Expansion will happen as needed though since there isn’t enough of  a population to justify development of neocron.org right this minute. I apologize for the delay but what else can we do around here?

Neocron servers being hit with DOS Attack

We have news that the Neocron server is being constantly crashed by a DOS attack from a hacker in game who is upset because he has no skills. Please remember to submit ANY INFORMATION YOU HAVE on the attacker including console log files etc to exploits@neocron.com and abuse@neocron.com. That is all we can do right now. A moderator on Neocron.com forums has assured us that the emails are being reviewed. Don’t give up!

That is all the news we have right now. I have been in contact with Kirk (ReaKKtor CEO) about a few points and will have an exclusive update for you all.

How do I create a Neocron account?

Just to avoid confusion.

If you haven’t noticed already, I have added counters to the top of this website. Explanations of the counters are below them.

Introduction

Yes guys, I did it again… please don’t ask me why ;p

The ultimate Neocron startup launcher reached the third level and it’s even Neocron 3 ready, theoretical.
Someone remembers the older version… big, monolithic and slow. Now we built a new slim version, YOU decide what your launcher can do.
The launcher consumes the newest technology on .NET. WPF for the UI, MVVM and other patterns for the implementation.

How?

We created a HIVE-Server similar to an App-Store or Marketplace (respectly Microsoft Store). The ultimate launcher can only start Neocron and showing the news, it’s highly recommed to check the HIVE
Here you can download all your needed AddOns for your ultimate launcher.

There are only 2 AddOns at the moment, but we’ll provide more as soon as possible. The launcher is still “work in progress”, please remember on that if something goes wrong.

You also can write AddOns yourself, all you need is a .NET language like C # or VB.NET. For more information send me a pm.
The Launcher has integrated an AutoUpdater again, you should be always on the newest state. Besides, we will restore again the binding to NCRAREDB.NET as well as to THN, so you?ll have ingame access to rare pools and to your itemDB.

Tips

There is still no Installer! Extract the .zip in a folder and link the Launcher.exe. If you start the Launcher the first time, don?t forget to configure the path to your Neocron installation.
